Friends of Music and The Brain Foundation are community minded individuals and corporate groups who advocate in support of the mission and work of the Foundation:- To promote the use of music in the prevention, treatment and management of brain related disorders.
The friendship is an informal relationship which seeks to nurture and acknowledge mutual respect between parties. There is no cost and friends are free to step away from the Foundation at any time without obligation unless bound by the terms of an auspice agreement.
MBF volunteers and any individuals or organisations purchasing from the Foundation are automatically registered as valued Friends of the Foundation.
Friends of MBF receive:-
The Foundation recognizes that it can be difficult for unincorporated groups to obtain funding as funding agencies generally prefer to deal with an incorporated legal entity rather than a group of individuals. In addition, some funding bodies restrict grants, and corporates may limit sponsorship, to organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsement.
Unincorporated groups which are Friends of the Foundation can apply to be auspiced through the Foundation. Successful applicants can then:
Individuals or corporate groups who have previously demonstrated support of the Foundation may be invited to register as a Friend of MBF.
Importantly Friends of the MBF can make a meaningful difference. By keeping the Foundation responsive to community needs we work together to promote the use of music in the prevention, treatment and management of brain related disorders at a community level.
