Etiquette and Expectations

​Sometimes grants are set up so that only organisations, and not individuals or groups of individuals can apply for them. That doesn't mean that you have to give up on the idea of applying for that grant, though. You could still apply for it with the help of an auspice organisation.

Auspicing is when an incorporated association (us) applies for and receives funding on behalf of an unincorporated individual, group, or organisation (you), and is responsible for ensuring that the project or activity for which the funds have been granted is completed, acquitted, and the funds accounted for. 

We also assist arts organisations and some local councils with administrative support such as processing of fees and wages, artist agreements and financial management for discrete arts projects.Some of the services we provide are:

• Budget consultation
• Assistance and advice with funding opportunities
• Artist agreements
• Reviewing contracts
• Payroll
• Managing worker's insurance and claims

• Managing superannuation contributions
• Financial acquittals
• Box office projections
• Public Liability, Volunteers Insurance and Travel Insurance (please note that we do not offer insurance as a stand alone product)

The auspice fee is calculated at 5% of total project expenditure and we do not charge for our budget consultation service. This fee also provides everyone working on your project with Travel Insurance, Volunteers Insurance and Public Liability Cover. We do not charge a fee on your surplus or profit, or on in-kind expenditure.
