mbf has identified four key focus areas for service delivery and program development in local suburban and regional communities:-

1. COMMUNITY MUSIC
Music and the Brain Foundation (mbf) is one of a kind.
Whilst individual illnesses and their associated demands on resources are being serviced by a plethora of charities, each competing against one another for the same cause, mbf is the only charity operating at the community level, specifically established to promote music as a therapy in the prevention, treatment and control of brain related disorders across the board.
Further, mbf is keen to help stem the onset of dementia by encouraging people to sing/learn an instrument (or pick up instruments previously learnt), and to work towards becoming "brain fit" as a preventative to acquiring age related brain disorders.
